Way back, in Jr. high, there was a story about a man who grew rich and decided that hunting humans was the last best thing he could do; the story was in an Alfred Hitchcock anthology published in the mid-1950s. I don't recall the specific culmination, only that the man learned the sensation he'd caused in others. FWIW!
