Guest Cartoon by Guy Hillyer:
Frankenstein (the Monster) stands outside a Ruth’s Chris Steak House and explains to a passerby: “Actually, it’s Frankenstein’s Monster’s Ruth’s Chris Steak House.”
EDIT! It has just come to my attention that Guy and I must have George-Harrisoned this joke; Ruben Bolling, the acknowledged master of “Actually, It’s Frankenstein” jokes did it all the way back in 2014! So Ruben, as usual, got there first. More on this tmw. Back to the regular post.
Is there any business in the world more clumsily named than Ruth’s Chris?
Jon Stern thinks that yesterday’s “Frankenstein’s Monster” joke was a “category killer,” but I think Guy might have topped it. What do you think, Jon?
“Frankenstein’s Monster’s Magic Johnson Cinemas” would also be good.
I’ve always been a sucker for English boys school stories:
Formulaic, sure, but it’s a good formula. P.G. Wodehouse and Kipling wrote really great ones.
Draw my cartoons, please.
