Cartoon One Three Two Six
Upside
A high -level cabinet meeting, but outside the window (and broken walls) we can see a city in flame and ruins. Politicians and Generals gather around a table. The President says to the assembled: “We can take solace from one thing… at least the Giant Gorilla is wearing diapers.”
Yes, that would make a difference.
I haven’t seen any of the newer King Kong movies. Do they deal with his poop at all?
Edd Turner gives us the week’s first original art, with this marvelous one three two four:
As I’ve mentioned before, Edd is English; he asks if I’m familiar with “Desert Island Discs,” the BBC Radio program (or “programme”) wherein guests ares asked which eight records they’d want on a desert island. I’ve heard of “Desert Island Discs,” of course, but I’ve never actually listened to it; I’m shocked to discover, via Google, that it’s been on the air since 1942. I wonder if the idea of “What records would you bring to a desert island?” predated it, or if the show originated the concept. I haven’t found an answer yet.
Now to the meat: this is a great cartoon. This might be Edd’s most “complete” hand-drawn, hand-colored cartoon. It’s clean, it’s bright. The sun is unbearable, the castaway is philosophical… I love it. Thanks, Edd.
Draw my cartoons. I’ll post them here.

Very awesome, Edd! The sotting castaway looks SOOO annoyed! 😅
