A police sergeant, at his desk, is talking to a man. The sergeant says: “I’m afraid your identity has been stolen, Mr. Jingleheimer-Schmidt.”
Do kids still sing that song? I feel like 40% of my childhood was spent singing “John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt,” “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad” and “Row, Row, Row Your Boat.”
Edd Turner, from the wilds of Germany, sends us off into the weekend with a quick turnaround of nine six nine:
I like Edd’s expressions a lot — the dubiousness on the listener’s face, and the cold blankness of the speaker’s eyeglasses. He says he’s hurt, but it also seems like maybe this could be idle cocktail party chatter. It’s almost a working class version of a William Hamilton cartoon.
Come back next week. Me? I’ll try. Buy my books (google my name to find them). And draw my cartoons.
